Field Maintenance Technician needed in Richardson.

• Shift- Monday-Friday 8a-5pm (flex for overtime)
• Pay: 25-35hr (DOE)
• Job Site- Richardson (must be flexible to travel)

Snelling is seeking a reliable and experienced Field Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Richardson, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical background, leadership qualities, and a commitment to excellence in industrial equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as an industrial machine mechanic, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or lead small projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment in the field.
• Use power tools, diagnostic tools, and hand tools to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and company protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Prioritize tasks based on assigned service calls and deadlines.
• Comply with safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding job progress and equipment status.
• Train or guide less experienced technicians when needed, demonstrating leadership and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic or field service technician.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Computer literacy required – must be able to use work order systems, email, and basic troubleshooting software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment safely.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to follow work schedules and meet deadlines.
• Proven track record of working independently and taking initiative.
• Leadership background or experience supervising tasks or small teams is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Vocational or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing industry.
• OSHA or other relevant safety training certifications.
